So we've looked at her smash debut single, What We Want. How does her second single fare? Move Ya Body is an even more sultry affair, as the hook (Move ya hips, come with me tonight. Move ya body up against mine. Taste those lips, they taste so nice...) makes clear.
Dupré starts off by setting some ground rules: if you have any intention of being her man, you better be flossin'. I doubt she'd talking to anyone who doesn't have bottle service in the club. I point to exhibit A:
If you wanna take me out after the club, you gotta do it right, baby, show me some love. Sex money drugs is what i'm all about. Step your game up so you can see for yourself. Brush up against me and whisper in my ear. Make me feel what you want to feel. Numb to the touch, deeper pulse inside. Let's hit the dance floor, turn it up inside.
Okay, so she rhymes the word "inside" with "inside" -- we're not saying she's the second coming of Elvis Costello. Still, the pure mediocrity of this synth-backed 3 minute 27 second song ensures it will be played on commercial radio.
For those looking for a clue to what Eliot Spitzer may have experience, check out the third verse, where Ms. Dupré shows off her freaky side:
Drag me around and make me go insane. Can you make my temperature scream? Need your hands all over me, make me nasty show me what you need. Bend me over take me there. Do your world (?), grab my hair. Put it like you want it, toss me all around. Show me how you get down...
