During today's press conference, Bush was asked about the possibility that we may be facing $5 per gallon gas. In his usual chuckle nuts demeanor, he smirked and replied that he did not have a "magic wand" that would make gas prices lower, that we needed a special strategy, blah blah. All throughout, he appeared to be keeping himself from cracking up. Watching this imbecile of a president, this sorry excuse of a man who undeservedly occupies the most powerful seat in the world, I could only shake my head. Could you imagine seeing FDR responding to the Great Depression, smirking and chuckling and responding, "Great Depression? You think I got a magic wand here? he he". Or Abraham Lincoln facing the dissolution of the union and joking, "Hey, what am I supposed to do? Keep this union together with my magic wand? chuckle chuckle rib rib". At a time when so many millions of Americans are suffering, their living standards are rapidly falling, and so many more are losing their homes, we have a president who, after presiding after countless disasters that have contributed to their woes, thinks it's all fun and games. Could this possibly be because we are being led by someone who has never had to experience what it felt like to be poor? What it felt like to have to struggle through life? What it was like to not have opportunity and previlege fall in your lap because of your well connected daddy? As a nation, we have the weak leading the strong. The blind leading the far sighted. The stupid leading the intelligent. Bush is a completely incompetent and absolutely horrible president. I am usually accomodating of different opinions, but I have really come to feel nothing but pure hatred for those who voted this bastard into office. How someone could be so forgiving of stupidity, incompetence and lack of character is beyond me. Bush, if I had a magic wand, you'd rot in HELL.
